What requirements must a donor meet?

◦ Be between 18 and 30 years of age

◦ Be in good physical and mental health

◦ Do not use drugs

◦ No family history of genetic disease

◦ Our medical team will perform a complete gynaecological examination.

◦ A series of analyses will be carried out to rule out infectious and genetic diseases that may impact your health and that of your offspring.

What are the donation stages?

◦ During the first appointment, Hospital Ochoa’s medical team will explain and resolve any doubts you may have about the donation process.

◦ Should you wish to proceed, we will take down details of your medical history, conduct a physical exam, an ultrasound, and relevant blood tests.

The next step is evaluating the results from all the tests in order to make the donation process completely safe, both for you as well as for the recipient.

Before commencing the treatment itself, this will first be explained in detail. The aim here is that the ovary be as close to an optimum state as possible.

The last step of the process is to extract the eggs through a simple and quick surgical procedure. It is also painless as it is conducted under anaesthesia.
